About Us
Heath & Liz bought the house in April 08, then went to work on restoring it - Heath is a builder, so we spent winter totally relining upstairs, painting, jibbing, etc. Liz attempted to join the ranks as a builder but was demoted after nearly putting a crowbar thru her forehead....
The house was opened as Bunkers Backpackers with a big party at the end of October.
Toby, Torch and Pip also help out....

Heath Allen	Extensive building skills are all Heath really brings to the table… And does a wicked seafood barbeque. During the winter Heath pillages the southern ocean for crayfish. Loves telling tall fishing stories.... Tip - get in his good books by saying how amazing the deck he built is..
Liz Cave	All round legend.... (and person who writes the website)
Pip	Also known as Sausage - Pip can often be found sniffing round the BBQ area in hope that someone dropped a piece of food (but other backpackers normally beat her to it - hey, times are tough...)

Torch	Torch is the 'night watchman' and lives out in the shed.. Torch is a bit of an outdoors billy, loves his huntin, fishin & divin. Which works out well for everyone when it comes to BBQ time. Spends most nights watching "You, Me & Dupree" - shares the popcorn. When fully moustached looks just like Dr Phil
Toby Nolan	Toby is gracing us with his company as part of an Adventure Tourism degree. He is here doing an internship for 6 months. His heart is with kayaking, so if you're keen to go for a paddle, Toby doesn't need much encouragement to head out onto the water. Twilight paddling trips are his specialty - he's pretty sharp at spotting penguins too. Originally from Ireland, Toby's family spends alot of time on the Channel Islands. Backpacked for two years thru Africa. Super keen adventurer, so if you feel like shooting the breeze about traveling, Toby is your man...just don't distract him from his work for too long.... He loves nothing more than a good Irish joke and people telling him they once knew a dog called Toby. Go on, make his day.
